Sustainability
Sustainability for us is a responsibility towards the future. We cannot talk about value if we do not think about the world we leave to future generations. With our photovoltaic system, we supply more than 60 per cent of the energy needed for our production, reducing the environmental impact of our operations. Through our Safe & Green Programme, we are constantly working to reduce the use of hazardous substances in our components, comply with the Reach and RoHS directives, dispose of our waste responsibly and keep emissions under control. Our ISO 14001 certification is proof of our commitment, and we are determined to continue on this path, because we believe that every small step towards sustainability today translates into a better future tomorrow.

Our History
60 Years of Italian Excellence
From the province of Ferrara to the world: a story of continuous evolution and growth.
For over sixty years, SIMEL has been bringing the quality and excellence of Made in Italy to the world, establishing itself as one of the most recognised companies in the customised electric motor sector. Founded in 1966 in the province of Ferrara, in the heart of the fertile Emilia-Romagna region, SIMEL has built its path thanks to its ability to continually evolve, adding new skills and industrial applications over time.
Founded as a company specialising in the production of motors for burners, SIMEL has gradually broadened its range of action, developing motors for power tools, immersion pumps, hot air generators, ovens, through to water and vacuum pumps. This ability to adapt and grow is rooted in its origins: at a time when the industrial world was not so vast and specialised, SIMEL learned to do everything itself. This philosophy gave rise to a 100% in-house supply chain, which still today guarantees total control over quality and production times, offering advantages to both the company and its customers.

It is thanks to this approach that SIMEL has gone beyond national borders, taking its expertise to 22 countries, spread across all 5 continents. Indeed, as the world moved towards standardisation, SIMEL chose the ‘Taylor Made’ route, providing customised solutions where attention to detail, flexibility and quality are non-negotiable. Our ability to respond to unique and specific needs made us the exclusive supplier to two global giants such as 40 Wilo and KSB and allowed us to revolutionise the US hot tub pump market in the 1990s, where we introduced a new methodology in a highly standardised industry.
Over the past 15 years, our ability to innovate has been combined with a strong commitment to sustainability.
We have installed the second largest photovoltaic plant in the province of Ferrara, which covers 60% of our energy needs, and created SEMEP in Poland, a strategic operational base for mechanical and electrical assemblies. This growth, the result of attention to detail and strategic vision, has led us to be a global reference point, continuing to enhance what makes us unique: the quality of Made in Italy and the ability to adapt to the needs of those who choose us.
