SIMEL has obtained and recently renewed its Legality Rating, an innovative tool introduced by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) to reward companies that operate with transparency, integrity, and compliance. Our current score is ★++, a strong confirmation of our ongoing commitment to responsible business practices.
What Is the Legality Rating?
The Legality Rating is an official recognition issued by the AGCM to companies that meet strict legal and ethical standards. Established by Article 5-ter of Decree-Law No. 1/2012, the rating promotes fair competition and encourages merit-based and lawful business behavior.
More than just a symbol of compliance, the rating provides tangible benefits for businesses, such as preferential access to public tenders, improved credit conditions, and stronger credibility with institutional and private stakeholders.
How It WorksCome Funziona
The Legality Rating is expressed using stars, ranging from a minimum of ★ to a maximum of ★★★. One star is awarded to companies that meet all mandatory requirements, including:
- Administrative, tax, and social security compliance;
- Absence of criminal convictions or sanctions;
- Transparent relationships with clients, suppliers, and employees.
Additional “+” symbols are granted for each further best practice adopted, such as:
- Implementation of organizational compliance models (Legislative Decree 231/01);
- Use of traceable payment systems beyond legal thresholds;
- Adoption of corporate social responsibility policies;
- Registration in official anti-mafia “white lists” or adoption of ethical codes;
- Implementation of anti-corruption protocols or legality agreements;
